The goal of the Hampshire Philatelic Federation was to support and advance the interests of all stamp collectors, philatelists and postal historians in Hampshire and neighbouring counties, particularly those who are members of Clubs and Societies affiliated to the Federation.
However, sadly support by affiliated societies has dwindled and it has proved impossible to find a new set of committee members. As a result an Extraordinary General Meeting was called for 27 November 2025 at which the motion to close the Hampshire Philatelic Federation was passed unanimously by those attending in accordance with the Federation's Constitution.
